When we talk about Nokia, the general public has in mind the image of popular phones, although the brand is present in many sectors. Very soon laptops will also be stamped Nokia thanks to a license agreement obtained by the company Off Global which has just unveiled two models.
Here the watchwords are simplicity and productivity with functional devices designed for office work or entertainment. The brand is particularly targeting the increasing number of teleworkers with devices at an affordable price, but with reliable components to obtain an interesting balance between quality and price.
The first model is in 15.6-inch format with an IPS screen and a 1920×1080 pixel FHD display. Windows 11 is driven by an Intel Core i3-1220P processor and 8 GB of RAM on a 512 GB SSD. Storage can be added via the Micro-SD port. Two USB-C 3.2 ports and one USB-A port allow you to connect additional peripherals.
On the connectivity side, Wifi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 were preferred so as not to increase the price of the device. However, there is a fingerprint reader to easily unlock the device using Windows Hello, a 2MP webcam for videoconference meetings and a backlit keyboard.
The other 17.3-inch model has identical characteristics, but with a heavier weight of 2.5 kg against 1.7 kg for the 15.6-inch model. The price offered for these configurations is rather attractive with a price set at 699 and 799 euros for these two models. They will go on sale from the second quarter of 2022 with 4 color variations.
